LTS is looking for an Accounts Payable (AP) clerk with some bookkeeping experience. This position will be performed half of the time from Lorton, VA, and the rest from the home office of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Clear a 2-year filing backlog and maintain new files
• Data entry into Deltek GCS Premier
• Voucher and payment matching
• Obtain and maintain a file of W-9’s for all vendors
• Receipt and statement matching for 15-20 employee’s expense reports and virtual card spending.
• Assist AP manager with ad hoc projects as assigned, including scanning, post office runs, audits, etc.

Job Will Evolve To

• Reviewing invoices for accuracy and completeness in terms of prices, terms of payment supporting documentation, and other items required by the PO or Customer Contract.
• Work with vendors and LTS managers to resolve issues related to outstanding or incorrectly submitted invoices
• Route invoices for proper approval and general ledger coding

Required Skills And Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
• 1 years of bookkeeping experience preferred
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail required
• Some Deltek GCS premier experience or the ability to learn new software quickly
• Proficiency with Excel
• Ability to prioritize, solve problems and work in a fast-paced, high volume, environment, with minimal supervision
• Able to work in an ever-changing collaborative environment.
• Takes initiative to propose solutions to improving process flows
• Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
• Effective organizational and time management skills

Work Environment

• Normal work hours with few exceptions (month-end closing, tax time, invoicing, audits)
• Position will be based in a busy work environment and will be subject to frequent interruptions
