3 PositionsLocation: Eastpointe Middle SchoolEastpointe Community Schools is looking for highly qualified teachers or paraprofessionals skilled in elementary literacy to provide targeted, intensive tutoring during our Summer Program for students in grades 1-3.
The tutor candidates must have high expectations for student learning and growth. Daily use of literacy assessment will drive students' learning needs, and provide differentiated instruction.
This initiative is focused on the academic standards, and students’ current reading abilities, to accelerate student learning and to close the achievement gap.

- Have high expectations and the belief that students are capable of learning
- Have the ability to build relationships with students
- Have the ability to personalize lessons for each student
- Administer and analyze formative assessment data to progress monitor and plan targeted instruction
