Self Storage company with high-volume U-Haul franchise is looking for an Assistant Manager to work part-time on Sundays (10am-4pm), and Mondays (9am-5pm) weekly in Columbia, MD. Additional hours and overtime are available at times. The ideal candidate will be reliable, self-motivated, have a customer-oriented personality with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Interested candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office and navigating the Internet. This is an independent work environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Providing excellent customer service

Accepting payments and making daily remote bank deposits

Helping customers understand their storage needs, renting units to new customers, processing payments, answering questions and solving problems

Open and close the office on scheduled days

Consult, sell, and upsell to promote merchandise sales

Assist Manager by ensuring accounts are current and perform collections responsibilities as necessary

Assist Manager by ensuring the appearance of the property is customer ready by conducting daily walk-throughs and maintaining the property

Assist Manager with cleaning vacated units and monitoring the physical condition of the facility

Rent, check-in, clean, maintain, and park Uhaul trucks

General office duties

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Must have a valid driver's license

Must have a High School Diploma/GED equivalent and at least two years of related experience (sales/customer service/leasing/rentals)

Must be a team player and have strong leadership skills

Must be profit driven

Pre-employment background required

Have an analytical mind and ability to understand and interpret financials

Job requires constant movement and must be able to lift and move 35 lbs.
