Job Summary: The primary responsibilities of the Flatbed/Platen (Bobst) Die Cutter are to maintain and operate the Bobst Die Cutting equipment including, but not limited to installing dies, lower cutting plates, stripping and/or blanking tooling. Must also be able to perform minor repairs to dies and other tooling. Must be able to do complete setups on new dies.

Schedule: 6:00am - 2:30pm M-F with overtime as needed

• Prepare machinery for the start of shift, which includes necessary materials and paperwork.

• Find zero point, create spot sheets, and zone patch as necessary.

• Monitor finished products for quality standards.

• Complete simple, routine maintenance on machines to keep machine operational.

• Troubleshoot machinery for basic malfunctions and correct issues.

• Complete all necessary paperwork for machine operated.

• Clean machinery at the end of shift to prepare for next workday/shift.

• Clean and stock work area in preparation for next workday/shift.

• Perform these and other duties as assigned by supervisor or other appropriate management personnel.

• Safely perform physical demands as indicated below.

• Work overtime as needed to meet customers’ needs.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Familiarity with Bobst Die cutting equipment

• Proven die cutting experience

• Basic math and reading skills

• Ability to read a ruler and use a caliper

• Ability to multi-task with a high level of attention to detail

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Basic computer and mechanical abilities
