TDEC (The Data Entry Company), a nationally recognized Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) Organization, seeks an HR Specialist to support our corporate staff in the Bethesda, MD. area.
This position reports to the HR Supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting and terminating.
• Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws and standards to new and existing employees.
• Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed.
• Informing job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.
• Addressing any employment relations issues.
• Processing all personnel action forms and ensuring proper approval.
• Overseeing hiring process, which includes coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes, and performing reference check
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related experience.
• Prior Government Contracting experience preferred.
• Certification: aPHR preferred or related experience
• Experience: 1-2 years of HR experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, HR systems including HRIS.
• Familiarity with full cycle recruiting.
• Strong written and verbal communications and customer service/ interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to travel as needed
