Description
NEW HIRE RETENTION BONUS OF $3,000: $1,500 to be paid upon successful completion of 90 day close supervision, and $1,500 to be paid upon 1 year anniversary with Talbert House.
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing individual and/or family counseling as defined by license to children ages 3-5 years enrolled in Butler County Head Start in Hamilton, OH. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning for all applicable clients. Develop comprehensive diagnostic assessment within the scope of license.
Position Description:

• Perform counseling, psychosocial intervention and treatment under close supervision
• Maintain caseload and utilization by maintaining regular contact with clients and families
• Monitor and assess progress utilizing supportive methods
• Interview and observe clients and prepare clinical reports and individualized service plans
• Provide cognitive behavioral treatment, conduct assessments, individual/family counseling and case management
• Provide family counseling according to established principles and best practices
• May provide clinical direction and participate in providing in-service training to other treatment team members
• Provides dependent diagnosis, under close supervision of an independently licensed supervisor
• Provides in-depth assessment services and diagnostic summaries; assesses and selects appropriate counseling methods in order to maximize treatment process and outcomes, both individual and group
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical activities in compliance with contract, regulatory and agency requirements and clinical best practices
• Adhere to professional standards as outlined by protocols, rules and regulations and licensure scope
• Consult with team members concerning situations and possible courses of action
• Complete agency, accrediting body, and funder required training
• Other duties as assigned

• Remain current in general knowledge of psychotropic medications, side effects and DSM-V/ICD-10 diagnosis
• Ability to use electronic service documentation system effectively

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree or higher and at least one of the following licenses: LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, or MFT
• 1-3 years clinical counseling experience preferred

Essential Functions/Physical Demands:

• Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned. Infrequent standing and walking. Frequent to constant sitting.
• Gross Mobility: Rare climbing, or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Frequent to constant reaching, handling and fingering.
