Performs difficult skilled technical work involving the preparation and maintenance of fiscal or related records, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Deputy PFM Director.

• Enters payroll data and processes Employee Leave Requests.
• Audits and processes for payment requests for checks, purchase orders and travel expenses; completes journal entries and transfers; compiles and summarizes financial data in preparing financial reports for management.
• Responsible for office management; files reports, financial data and document; greets customers over the phone and in person.
• Maintain purchase cards, network, cash register and credit card machine
• Reconcile and verify credit card purchases with bank statements every month and send to the Purchasing department; processes Eworks requests and creates Purchase Orders.
• Assists with Division safety information and coordination.
• Assist with service request assignments
• Backup to the Senior Financial Clerk (PFM)

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED and moderate experience with payroll, accounting, office management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of City policies and procedures; thorough knowledge of bookkeeping terminology and methods; general knowledge of routine accounting principles and practices; general knowledge of the time keeping software (Kronos); thorough knowledge of standard office procedures, practices and equipment; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and position specific software; ability to maintain complex financial records and to prepare financial reports accurately; ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions; ability to deal effectively with supervisors, co-workers and the general public.Physical Requirements: This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently requires sitting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms and pushing or pulling; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
