Role SummaryWe are seeking a diligent and adaptable Accounts Payable Clerk to contribute to our payment operations and support our accounting department with basic tasks. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is interested in expanding their accounting expertise while contributing to our office's overall efficiency.
Essential Functions
- Verify, code, process, and pay invoices using AvidXchange and Sage Intacct.
- Handle the full cycle of accounts payable activities including ensuring timely payments of invoices, maintaining accurate records and control reports.
- Manage vendor relations and reconcile vendor statements.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures and support the accounting team with journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare analysis of accounts, as needed.
- Assist with audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Offer administrative support to other departments, such as data entry, file management, and other ad hoc tasks.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn
- Technologically savvy
