Job Description

As the Strategic Deployment Project Manager for Large-Scale Installations and Infinia Software Delivery you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful deployment and implementation of our cutting-edge storage solutions for our customers' mission-critical environments. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around managing complex, large-scale installation projects and overseeing the delivery of our flagship Infinia software product.

Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and coordinate all aspects of large-scale installation projects for DDN's storage systems, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as sales, engineering, professional services, and customer support, to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress against established milestones and proactively addressing any potential risks or issues that may arise.
  • Oversee the deployment and configuration of DDN's storage hardware and software, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry best practices.
  • Manage the delivery of DDN's Infinia software product, coordinating with the software engineering team to ensure timely releases, feature rollouts, and issue resolution.
  • Work closely with customers during the installation projects and software deployments, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to gather feedback from customers and project stakeholders, contributing to the continuous improvement of DDN's storage solutions and the Infinia software product.
  • Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and customer-centric service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management roles, with a strong focus on managing large-scale installations, software deployments, or complex IT infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of storage systems, software engineering practices, and project management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects with varying priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential project risks and challenges.
  • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and experience working in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support on-site customer engagements and project activities.

Your project management expertise, coupled with your technical knowledge and customer-centric approach, will contribute significantly to DDN's commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
