Responsibilities
- Assists faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, adherence to safety procedures, tracking attendance and other miscellaneous tasks related to instruction.
- Assists faculty with the supervision and mentoring of students during scheduled lab sessions or tutoring sessions, as needed.
- Assists faculty with maintaining a clean and safe lab environment.
- Performs routine maintenance on equipment, as instructed.
- Assists with inventory maintenance and requisition of supplies.
- Obtains materials needed for classes, including texts and other materials.
- Completes ALL required employee trainings.
- Meets with students, staff members, supervisors, as needed.
- Assists with special projects or initiatives, as needed.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned by program chair.
- Diploma in Cosmetology or a related field.
- A valid Georgia Master Barber License.
- Ability to assist day and evening classes.
- Five (5) years’ experience in the cosmetology industry.
- Experience with TCSG cosmetology programs.
- Experience with a diverse clientele and services including: shaving, barber cutting techniques, wet hairstyling, color, permanent waving, relaxers, smoothing treatments, and/or skin care.
- Knowledge of NIC licensure exams.
- Employment is contingent based upon successful completion of appropriate background checks.
