Description
Operates multiple varieties of forklift vehicles to transport materials to assigned destinations. May load or unload trucks as required.
Operates under specific detailed instructions; refers changes in schedule or problems to supervisor.
Requirements
- Load and unload delivery trucks.
- Operate Forklifts in safe manner.
- Service printing press timely with material to minimize press down times.
- Transport finished goods to warehouse for shipping or storage in overhead racks.
- Assist in daily warehouse activities.
- Verify inventory locations, quantities, size, etc. as needed.
- Consolidate freight in the warehouses.
- Prepare scrap skids for pick up.
- Responsible for compliance with all regulatory, facility food safety, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs) policies and procedures.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be forklift certified.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work in fast paced environment often with shipping deadlines.
- Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written or oral form.
Must have good math skills to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurements, volume, and other quantities.
