Design Ready Controls is a leader in control panel building, and we are searching for the next key player to join our team. As the Electrical Controls Engineer, you will be an integral part of our success and growth. The Electrical Engineer (EE) assists Design Ready Controls as a technical resource for controls panel manufacturing. The EE is responsible for overseeing all phases of the panel and projects from inception to shipment to assure they meet both customer requirements and adhere to UL and Design Ready Control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fully understand products, customer specifications and provide technical support
  • Collaborate with departments to identify any special requirements such as: tooling, CAD tools, investments
  • Provide production support, documentation and drawings using electrical CAD software to support new control panel product activities
  • Work with customers to gather feedback on products
  • Successfully transition business from Sales Application Engineering Team
  • Modify schematics and macros in ECAD systems
  • Test APE software installations and systems for their production readiness
  • Interpret and implement products changes provided by the customer
  • Create new procedures, processes, or relationships with oversight from Level 2 Engineer or higher
Education | Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field (required)
  • Electrical and Solid Modeling CAD experience (required)
  • Hands on manufacturing or repair experience (preferred)

  • Ability to read, understand and absorb technical information
  • Willingness to research and present solutions to new or complex problems
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing, and challenging environment
  • Results oriented, schedule driven and accountable
  • Good personal time management, capacity awareness and prioritization skills
  • Calm under pressure, good communicator, and customer service oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
