Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 3 years in local and wide area network management, with 2 years in a lead role.
• Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
• Special Requirements: Valid California Driver License and use of an automobile.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procedures for firmware, OS releases, and software changes.
• Conduct network configuration reviews and manage enterprise infrastructure systems.
• Manage dissemination of revised configurations to network equipment.
• Ensure consistency of firmware levels across the district.
• Propose and implement improvements to version control and configuration management.
• Coordinate and communicate network changes with impacted users and IT security.

Desirable Skills:

• Overseeing complex network configuration projects.
• Reviewing and recommending code revisions and patches.
• Utilizing network management applications (e.g., Cisco Prime, BMC BladeLogic).
• Understanding TCP/IP protocols, VoIP concepts, and network monitoring tools.
