The VP, Project Management Office (PMO) plays a crucial role in driving organizational success by providing leadership and direction to execute programs to meet both business and program objectives. This is a great opportunity with a rapidly growing company to help shape the foundation for the future, growing this team from its infancy, and working on large programs from sales initiation through O&M.

We are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:

  • Oversee the work of project managers to manage organization-wide projects that range from minor capital projects ($100,000) to major projects ($100M) that run concurrently on a national footprint.
  • Oversees and coordinates the resources needed for projects with a defined scope, start and completion point.
  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, and financing authorities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet or exceed contracting standards.
  • The role involves developing project management methodologies, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency across projects.
  • Must have strong leadership and people skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strategic perspective.
  • Build the investment project charter including the delineation of resources required to accomplish project targets and satisfy contractual financing requirements.
  • Manage coordination of internal and external partners and ensure proactive communication, alignment, timely resolution of issues and escalation as needed.
  • Oversee procurement activities, project assets and expenditures while providing guidance on change requests and exercising approval authority.
  • Support the development and execution of the operation start-up plans to facilitate successful transitions from installation to full production.
  • Ensure adherence to requirements, specifications, standards and best practices in the design, execution and closeout of the project and verify, at every stage, that the project charter has been fulfilled and scope achieved within the defined budget and timeframe.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar field
  • 12 years of progressive engineering and project management experience in an industrial or related environment
  • 10 years of people leadership experience in an industrial or related environment
  • Previous experience with scheduling software such as Primavera (preferred), Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Wage range for this role is between $200,000-$275,000/annually
  • Discretionary bonus
  • The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.

Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident for this position. We are unable to sponsor any employment visas.
