Job description:

The Trade Compliance Analyst will assist our Customs Compliance Manager with all matters related to international trade at Martinrea, working collaboratively with our manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and brokers to develop and support trade strategies that are robust and adaptable.

Main responsabilities:

• Main point of contact for shipment clearance questions, assist with requested information gathering in a timely manner
• Tracking FTA requests and ensure compliance partner has all required information for analysis and filing
• Appropriate escalation and resolution
• Monitor Restricted Party Screening software, research potential matches
• Broker entry data audits for US and CA
• Develop and Maintain broker scorecards US and CA
• Monitor, measure, and report out customs broker performance
• Monitor US Customs bonds and reconciliation riders
• Support plants with cross border shipments
• Work with compliance partner to support FTA process
• Coordinate with plants on CTPAT responses
• Assist with other projects as needed.

The successful candidate will be a strong collaborator with an analytical skillset, who can develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships with team members at all levels of the organization, as well as with our supplier/broker network. Candidate must be comfortable analyzing large data sets for risk and opportunity, and able to communicate those risks and opportunities effectively to the appropriate audience.

Applicant Requirements:

• 3-5 years of customs broker and/or trade compliance experience
• Certified Customs Specialist and/or Certified Export Specialist preferred
• Highly analytical and detail oriented
• Problem solving skills
• Excellent MS Office skills
