The Restaurant Manager plays a key role in operating a Port of Subs store. They are the leaders and trained to be experts in all positions of the store. The Manager is expected to be consistent and supportive of their restaurants business plan and P&L.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills and experience with a multi generation work force.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate daily restaurant operations. Develops and executes business plans (key elements include financial responsibilities, labor and food planning, P&L budgeting, and store marketing to attain restaurant results.
* Order, maintain inventory, and manage cost control.
* Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
* Manage and perform all administrative personnel responsibilities including, but not limited to: recruiting, staffing, evaluating, documentation and disciplinary procedures, incentive programs, and compliance and enforcement of all government rules and regulations.
* Oversee, manage and train on all restaurant accounting including, but not limited to: cash procedures, cash register controls, pay-outs, banking, payroll, scheduling, audits, accounts receivable, ordering,receiving, inventory, sales journal, forecasting, posting and gift certificate program.
Skills Required:
2 to 3 years minimum in management or restaurant preferred including full service, fast casual or quick service restaurants.
Strong guest service and communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong math skills
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to analyze data and drill down on data from system reports
Ability to train on processes; develop materials
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 50 lbs on a regular daily basis
Stand for a minimum of 9 hours per day
Continuous reaching, stretching, grasping, pushing and bending
