Job Summary:

The Blender works in the production facility and blends raw products to roasted coffee according to customer specifications, following all standard operating procedures for the blending machinery.

Responsibilities:

Food Handling/Quality Control

  • Follow written product specifications and blend raw products to meet the desired result.
  • Work with the Quality Control Team to make sure that product meets quality standards. Use timers for consistency.
  • Get a sample of every raw material that comes into the warehouse and make sure that Q.C. has checked it before use.
  • Before combining any raw materials, make sure that they are checked and signed by either the Production Supervisor and/or by the QC Department
  • Report to the Production Supervisor if any of the raw materials seem or look different than normal.

Work Area and Safety

  • Organize the raw materials area so that it looks neat and is cleaned (floors, walls, etc.), weekly.
  • Assure that all the machinery is clean, neat and in good working order.
  • Report any raw materials missing from the production set up for the week.
  • Assure Food Safety Standards are followed by all including those that enter the blending area.
  • Responsible for reporting Food Safety violations.
  • Operate a forklift and other warehouse machinery to move product to the appropriate area in the facility.

Inventory

  • Conduct daily and/or weekly inventories of Raw Materials, as assigned.
  • Need to work on weekends for monthly maintenance. Report damage using Form-07-EQ002.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends and overtime when necessary
  • Transfer blended production (work in process) to the packaging department.

Education/ Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong grasp of basic math concepts
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations
  • Good interpretive and/or reactive skills
  • Must have manufacturing environment experience
  • Forklift experience required
  • Flexibility in schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.15 per hour during training
Pay: $23.25 per hour after training

Hours: M-F 6:30pm to 3:00am

(Must be able to work nights, weekends and overtime when necessary)
