The Dinner Service Cashier job role is a crucial part of Dialog Café’s Customer Service Department. The purpose of the Dinner Cashier role is to directly support Management, with focus on day-to-day service and guest engagement. A strong focus is placed on ensuring the highest standards for service, consistency and flow. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

-Welcoming guests in a warm and friendly manner

-Providing guest with Dialog’s Dinner menu and answering any initial questions

-Providing guests with recommendations

-Providing guests with wine and beer pairings

-Providing friendly and accommodating service with good vibes and good energy

-Memorizing Dialog’s menu, including any allergen specifications and modifications

-Sampling out wines, beers and other Dinner items, to guests, in order to receive feedback and suggestions

-Performing closing duties, in accordance to checklist

-Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace

-Achieve high quality and maintain high standards, whether they are supervised or not

-Processing sales transactions and taking payments

-Answering guest questions about products and services and providing recommendations based on customer needs

-Cross-selling and up-selling products

-Working with team and management to reach sales goals

Required qualifications and skills:

-High School Diploma or GED

-Knowledge of wine and spirits

-Knowledge of farm to table

-Knowledge of menu coursing

-Customer service experience

-Valid ABC license and Food Handler’s certificate

-Understanding of restaurant etiquette

-Familiarity of Health and Safety regulations

-Excellent communication skills

-Critical thinking skills and adaptability

-Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time

-Able to lift 50lbs

-Willingness to follow instruction and ask questions for any clarification

-Ability to handle money accurately and operate a Point-Of-Sale system

5 nights a week. Hours will range from 1:30pm to 9:30pm
