Job DescriptionJob Description:ResponsibilitiesAmcor Rigid Packaging USA, LLC. Maintenance Supervisor in Blythewood, South Carolina. Apply engineering knowledge and experience to ensure that injection mold, blow mold and downstream equipment and support systems are properly installed, maintained, repaired, and improved at the company’s Blythewood manufacturing plant. Provide technical and professional oversight to a team of 15-30 front-line maintenance technicians on engineering matters relating to the plant’s equipment, maintenance, efficiency, and safety. Specific responsibilities include:

• Provide technical input, solutions, and options to the plant’s management team regarding engineering, equipment, production, and scheduling in order to improve production efficiency and product quality.
• Recommend and implement maintenance programs to eliminate identified engineering/efficiency problems, to improve labor utilization, to upgrade facilities, and to reduce overall costs of plant operations/production.
• Oversee the movement of molds to and from the plant; serve as a contact person for molds at the facility.
• Develop, implement, and improve on preventative maintenance programs/schedules for the plant’s complex technical equipment and maintenance technicians. Ensure that all repair work is properly documented.
• Ensure plant compliance with applicable Federal, State and local safety and health, environmental, building and fire ordinances and for lockout, hazard communication, machine guarding, and waste disposal.
• Seek bids on construction, alteration, and installation work on plant manufacturing and automation equipment as required and recommend specific vendors/contractors based on an analysis of likely cost, workmanship, and needed completion dates.
• Participate in local safety programs and ensure that maintenance technicians and other plant employees perform work in a safe manner.
• Assist in accident investigations/reports, document potentially unsafe conditions, and recommend/implement technical and engineering steps to be taken to correct them.

Domestic travel required up to 10% of time, primarily to other Amcor worksites.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering and 5 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in a closely related Manager/Coordinator/Supervisor occupation involving industrial maintenance. Experience to include:

• 3 years performing, coordinating or managing injection machine maintenance.
• 3 years experience working with Husky machines.

All education, experience, and training may be gained concurrently.
