Under general supervision, the purpose of this classification is to produce and create videos for City records as well as original content for City websites, broadcast channel, and internal employee digital communications.The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. Records all required City public meetings, work sessions and special events.
Creates and maintains an audio and video record of public meetings in accordance with State law and to make available via broadcast on cable systems and internet.
Acts as quality control agent to insure proper broadcast standards are met.
Operates and maintains equipment for audio and video City staff use.
Fulfills any audio or video related Open Records Requests in accordance with the law.
Coordinates with maintenance vendors to maintain audio and video software and hardware.
Develops and reviews acquisition and implementation of new or upgraded audio and video equipment.
Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers and others in the course of daily work.
Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Audio or Video Production or related field, supplemented by two (2) years of progressively responsible experience or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Texas Driver's License.
