What You'll Do At Monteith

Given our growth and increased demand for the Design-Build delivery method, we are looking to expand even further to best serve our clients and teams. This newly created position helps Monteith plan for even further growth and added expertise, talent, and passion is an important part of our growth plan at the company. The Design-Build Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing all aspects of design-build initiatives within our organization. This strategic position requires a licensed architect with a strong background in construction management, architectural design, and the design-build project delivery method. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative design-build solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in adherence to quality standards.

Experience You Should Have

• Design-Build Experience: Understand the design-build delivery method and how to harness this method to enhance project efficiency reduce risks, and provide clients with a seamless construction experience.
• Design Oversight: Supervise and guide the design process, ensuring that design solutions are innovative, practical, and aligned with project requirements with the intent of always thrilling clients. You will lead the design-build team through all phases of project development, including conceptual design, design development, final bid documents, and permitting.
• Client Satisfaction: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential and current clients, working to understand their needs and expectations.
• Team Leadership: Lead the transition from the preconstruction to the execution and implementation of the project in the field. Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors and teammates to ensure project requirements are met and the design intent is maintained throughout the construction process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution
• Registered Architect with current licensure
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit, SketchUp, or other relevant design software
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction techniques
• Excellent communication skills
