What you will do:

The Accounting Manger directs ATSG’s shared services Accounts Payable function for multiple subsidiaries, processing vendors payments efficiently, accurately and timely. This position oversees the accounts payable staff in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This position ensures that ATSG’s process controls, policies and procedures are followed as they pertain to accounts payable. This position manages all employees of the AP department and is responsible for the performance, management and hiring of the employees within that department.

• Encourage AP staff to provide excellent support to ATSG contract managers as well as vendors.
• Troubleshoot issues regarding invoices, payments and process errors. 
• Ensure accurate set-up of new records and compliance to controls for changes of existing records. Team with management to obtain proper documentation for vendor setup.
• Monitor invoice workflow systems, 3-way match exception levels and interfaces.
• Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain process flow and meet schedules.
• Administer system access levels and delegation of authorities.
• Oversee management of travel & business reimbursement process.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules for assigned general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and analyze and KPI’s relating to Accounts Payable on a regulate basis.
• Assist in quarterly reviews, periodic audits preparing schedules, as necessary.
• Prepare 1099 forms.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Payroll and Tax, depts to promote efficient processes.
• Updates process flow and control narratives for accounts payable and record retention processes. 
• Provide training, guidance, and support to system users across ATSG as well as vendors. 
• Proactively identify issues causing errors and inefficiencies. Recommend training, and/or procedures changes for improvement. Implement process improvements to streamline Accounts Payable processes. Work with IT dept as needed for process improvements. Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain flow and to meet schedules.
• Report vendors spend regularly and as requested. Notify appropriate management of unusual patterns or charges.

What you need:

• Strong computer and systems knowledge and proficiency in common office software.
• Detail oriented and strong multi-tasking skills.
• 1-2 years of Supervisory experience required
• Ability to prioritize meet deadlines. 
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently while being self-driven. 
• Exhibit critical thinking of processes.
• Business degree required.

Preferred experience:

• SAP experience preferred
• Accounting Degree preferred
