The Maryland Technology Development Corporation d/b/a TEDCO is an organization established by the Maryland General Assembly in 1998 to help early stage technology and life sciences companies throughout the state of Maryland to grow and thrive. TEDCO helps establish connections, identify funding, and provides consulting services to help identify and cultivate new businesses, and to bring innovation to the marketplace.
The Senior Program Manager, SBIR/STTR Programs is a critical role within TEDCO, designed to oversee and enhance four key areas: the SBIR/STTR Proposal Lab, the Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) program, the Maryland SBIR Matching Funds program, and the Maryland Technical Assistance Program. This position requires a proactive and strategic leader capable of managing multiple programs effectively with minimal supervision. The role demands regular interaction with stakeholders, program participants, and other TEDCO teams to deliver high-value support to Maryland’s innovation ecosystem.
The Program Manager is responsible for managing the portfolio of SBIR/STTR companies. In this role, the Program Manager is to maintain regular, close communication with companies receiving support regarding their progress with milestones through completion.
The SBIR/STTR Program Manager will work with the Federal Engagements team to manage and continually improve the department’s initiatives to meet client company expectations while ensuring a high level of satisfaction among the assisted companies, associated volunteers, and consultants. The Program Manager reports to the Director of Federal Programs.
