Here is what your new job may entail.....
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Experience: Previous server or restaurant experience preferred. Skills/Competencies/Certifications: Reading, writing, basic math and superior communication skills are required. Ability to work in a team environment and work calmly/effectively under pressure. Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized. Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge. Handles multiple priorities and exercise good judgment. Understanding of federal, state, and local liquor laws. This description is not a contract or guarantee of employment nor does it alter the "at-will" relationship. Serves and sells drinks, entrees, sides, and desserts in an outgoing, friendly and timely manner so as to provide our Guests with superior service. Performs proper procedures for responsible alcohol preparation and service, knows legal drinking age and the proper procedures for requesting identification. Checks in with every table regularly to ensure a positive Guest experience. Performs side duties including, but not limited to, answering the phone, bussing tables, cleaning work stations, rolling silverware, expediting orders and running food. Responsible for accurate cash handling. Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
HOST(ESS) / CASHIER
JOB SUMMARY: Greets, engages, and seats all Guests in a warm and friendly manner, making a Famous first impression. Assists in maintaining the overall Guest flow of the restaurant. As Guests are departing, inquire about their experience, thank them for dining with us, and invite them back. Will perform side duties including, but not limited to, answering the phone, taking “To Go” orders, general cleaning, expediting orders, and checking out Guests. Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Greets, engages, and seats the Guest in a timely and controlled manner. Accommodates any special needs, (i.e. boosters, highchairs, disabilities, large parties, etc.). Opens doors for arriving and departing Guests. Consistently explains features (e.g. “Every Server is Your Server”) and specials. Manages the Waitlist as needed, quoting accurate wait times. Provides assistance to servers. Maintains clean and organized work and entry areas (including windows, ledges, door handles and floors). Understands and accurately uses the P.O.S. (point of sale) system to clock[1]in/out, to process/input "To Go" orders and Guest checks, and complete end of shift duties.
