Compliance Intern – ProgressiveHealth Rehabilitation, Inc. – Evansville, IN

We are looking for a Compliance Intern to join our ProgressiveHealth team! The intern will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the Compliance team through activities related to compliance management and the regulatory framework within which our company operates.

It will be an in-office position located in Evansville, IN.

  • This is a part-time opportunity working 15-20 hours a week.
  • This role does have the possibility to roll into the Fall 2024 semester which will be evaluated at a later date.

Our Interns will support the Compliance team’s departmental projects and initiatives, including but not limited to:

  • Document Review and Management:
    • Assist in the review and update of compliance documents, forms, policies, and procedures.
    • Assist in organization of compliance documentation and records.
  • Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct research on various compliance requirements and industry standards.
    • Help update various compliance research tools and trackers.
  • Training and Communication:
    • Help update compliance-related training materials.
    • Assist in the tracking and data entry related to compliance training.
  • Medical Records:
    • Assist medical records department with pulling relevant records.
    • Assist with auditing physical medical records and updating storage and retention logs.
  • Compliance/Legal Document Reviews and Audits:
    • Participate in internal reviews and audits of compliance forms and contracts.
  • Project Support:
    • Provide support on various compliance projects and initiatives as needed.
    • Collaborate with different departments to promote a culture of compliance across the organization.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be a college student currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program
  • Have a major designation in law, compliance, business administration, human resources, medical, or business-related field
  • Have analytical thinking and complex problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional organization skills, self-motivation, and demonstrated excellence in customer service and communication
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change, problem solve, and be solution-oriented
  • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to execute quickly and efficiently with keen attention to detail
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up skills and the ability to multi-task
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
