Junior Product Owner, Application Development – ProgressiveHealth, LLC. – Evansville, IN

We are looking to add a Junior Product Owner to our Application Development team in Evansville, IN’s west side. This role will work closely with our managers, development team, and stakeholders to assist in the delivery of high-quality software products. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring that the development team delivers valuable features that meet the needs of our prospective and current clients. This role will be responsible for project management using basic product development processes. This position will manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• This is a part-time position with flexibility in schedule.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Working with the senior product manager(s) to gather and prioritize product requirements from stakeholders, customers, and internal teams.
  • Coordinating project activities and ensuring timeline adherence.
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, including tasks, resources, and dependencies.
  • Monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks and issues.
  • Communicating project status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Participating in retrospectives and post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement.
• Creating and maintaining product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs.
• Working closely with development teams to ensure timely product features and enhancements delivery.
• Facilitating communication and collaboration between product management, development teams, and other stakeholders.
• Serving as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring a shared understanding of project requirements and objectives.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Our ideal candidate would:

• Have a college degree in a field related to Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A background in exercise science, healthcare, or another medical field is a plus.
  • A project management certification isn’t required but is preferred.
• Have previous experience with the following:
  • Project management or product ownership,
  • Development and implementation of products/programs,
  • Software technologies, data processes, and queries.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Display a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication.
• Have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision.
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
• Demonstrate strong detail orientation with the ability to adapt to change.
• Demonstrate strong follow-up and follow-through skills.
• Be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Have strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
