Essential Functions
- Teardown, set up, and start an extruder line with direction from Cell Lead.
- Must know how to use calipers, micrometer, gauges, other measuring devices, and mating parts to ensure quality products and parts meet customer specifications.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Monitor various inspection/production reports to ensure the production of quality product.
- Efficiently manage production of product from start to finish of run.
- Minimize scrap and regrind.
- Maximize efficiency to reduce overall set-up and start-up time.
- Must be capable of, but not always required to watch over multiple extrusion lines.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
- Strictly adheres to Company and Plant safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Will assist other operators, as well as production packer on an as needed basis.
- Operation of Forklift.
- Material Handling functions.
- Troubleshooting.
- Adheres to and supports the company’s vision, mission, and goals.
- Must be able to produce parts that meet quality requirements.
- Minimize the amount of line set-up and start-up time.
- Run at established efficiency requirements.
- Minimize scrap and regrind during production runs.
- Not applicable.
- Standard schedule is Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
- Must be flexible to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
- Mandatory overtime on Saturdays may be required.
- Potential overtime during weekdays may be required.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in set-up and/or extrusion process preferred.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to communicate/read/write in the English language.
- Forklift certification preferred.
