About You

This individual will ensure the accurate, timely, and consistent specification, distribution, and tracking of materials needed for all manufacturing processes.

You will monitor both physical and system inventory levels in order to provide data for issue resolution and to make any adjustments required to maintain accuracy.

Also, you will track, request, and obtain production materials as specified or directed and work with Warehouse personnel to provide smooth transition of materials from area to area.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receives designated work orders from Supervisor, leads, or follows other oral and computer instructions to ascertain materials needed to meet production requirements.
  • Completes work in compliance with ISO 14001 and 900, forklift training, and other safety training courses as prescribed.
  • Organizes, prepares, and orders material for manufacturing according to BARCO, SAP, or oral instruction.
  • May personally transfer materials to and from warehouse to production area.
  • Performs data entry into SAP of scrap, production, and inventory corrections to ensure accuracy.
  • Actively involved in continuous improvement events such as Kaizen for this function.
  • Unwraps and bursts delivered pallets and transfers individual items to correct station or other production area using hand and powered industrial trucks.
  • Palletizes completed product and moves to correct position for material transfer.
  • Cleans up and disposes of excess packing material.
  • Follows all defined safety procedures and uses judgment to ensure safe work methods.
  • All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
  • Conduct planned maintenance of material handling equipment and monitor equipment for other maintenance needs.
  • Performs all related duties as requested.
