Why M Physicians? The RN - Infusion performs both independent nursing and delegated medical functions. The independent nursing includes assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for assigned patient population(s) in the ambulatory care setting. The delegated medical functions include participation in and coordination of delegated patient care to other health care team members. This position will primarily work in the specimen collection lab within the Masonic Cancer Clinic This is a Lab Only RN position. This position is specific to the collection lab as part of the Masonic Cancer Clinic. This RN works with a group of colleagues to obtain IV access and draw central or peripheral labs as part of the patients' treatment plan pre, post, or independent of a clinic or infusion appointment. What you will do as a RN - Infusion Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes Implements nursing interventions based on plan of care Evaluates care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes Delivers care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patients Performs other duties as determined by manager and clinic needs What you will need: Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse license Maintain American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification Preferred: 2 years of acute care nursing and/or infusion or ambulatory care nursing experience 2 years of experience in administrating antineoplastic agents Current national certification depending on area of specialty or the ability to obtain one within 18 months of start date or prorated for FTE appointment (if applicable for role). Maintain Oncology Nursing Society’s ONS Provider Card or obtain within 30 days of start date (if applicable for role).
