Portables MRB Lead1st shift Monday-Saturday $22.00-$26.00Hr DOEPOSITION PURPOSE:To lead the MRB department with expertise and knowledge in all repairs. Achieve and support 100% on-time order closures by aligning rework, returned goods, and consignment orders with open production orders. Ensure daily production continuously meets capacity while producing high quality products and meeting safety standards. Direct and train hourly employees in MRB operations to support as needed. Communicate all defects for MRB report to track accountability on production floor. Support in root cause investigations to determine cause of defects. Keep rework levels to 500 pcs of WIP or less.REQUIREMENTS:The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following: Assess condition of cylinder and type of repair needed on all parts sent to MRB (Rework, returned goods, conversions)Review and scan parts by identifying defect, source of defect, steps to repair defect, and enter into database (MRB report)Ability to pre-sand and wrap rework cylinders meticulously and not cause scrapAbility to patch, replace damaged labels, and bandsKnowledgeable in making and re-ordering labels. Communicating what is needed with the vendors and graphics and label specialist as neededUnderstanding and knowing how to read SCD for label dimensions and orientationAbility to repair cosmetic damage or defects to the outer fiber of cylinders TWI training completed and ability to train off shifts in MRBSupport root cause investigations as neededQualification Requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to sub-contractors and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills:Ability to use shop mathematics, read blueprints, read and understand charts, tables, various types of measuring instruments (calculators, pie tape, weigh scales, ultrasonic gage, hardness tester, calipers, micrometer, tensiometer.)Other Skills:Familiarity with process involved in producing high-pressure composite cylinders. Completion of inspecting/set up training program. Capable of handling multiple objectives in a high-volume production setting. Computer literate and print reading a must.Reasoning Ability: Requires the use of judgment to plan and make decisions as to sequence of operations, processes and set-ups within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
