Duties:
1. Attends individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings with Head Start staff for special needs child.
2. Plans individual activities for special needs child if unable to complete group activities.
3. Documents the child’s progress in the current ongoing assessment program.
4. Assist teaching staff with the Home Visits and Parent Teacher conferences for special needs child.
5. Encourages speech and language development through appropriate modeling and questioning.
6. Assists with feeding and diapering, if necessary for special needs child.
7. Assists staff in daily preparation of classroom activities.
8. Plans or assists in planning of individual and group activities to stimulate growth in language, social and emotional and motor skills such as learning to listen to instructions, playing with others, and using play equipment.
9. Uses positive reinforcement and promotes positive self-esteem, when working with the children, families and staff members.
10. Documents, records and informs staff of observations and information they have been privy to and which might affect a child in the Head Start Program.
11. Helps to ensure that child incident, child health concerns, and child abuse and neglect reports are submitted, as needed, utilizing agency website.
12. Has an understanding of Child Outcomes and procedures, to include but not limited to, the current ongoing development assessment program used by MOCA Head Start.
13. Have an understanding of Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS).and program.

Pay: $14.01 - $14.50 per hour
