Premier Automation is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Purchasing Intern to join our dynamic team. As a Purchasing Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our purchasing department and ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement processes. Internship Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
• Maintain and update the business system to ensure accurate records
• Assist in writing and updating processes and procedures for business manuals
• Manage purchase orders from issuance to material receipt
• Monitor and maintain expected ship dates and shipment records within the Epicor system
• Collaborate internally and engage with engineers to explore alternative resolutions
• Coordinate with schedulers to ensure fulfillment of customer requirements
• Address discrepancies and resolve shipment-related issues promptly
• Input customer orders accurately into the company's business system
• Monitor inventory levels of critical products through reports, physical inventories, and other means
• Contact vendors to arrange returns for unused materials from jobs and oversee the tracking of associated credits

Experience and Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior experience with ERP systems, particularly Epicor, is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
