Job SummaryHBC is looking for an IT Technical Support Specialist. Applicants must have at least 3 years of experience monitoring and managing the network, maintaining the VOIP set-up and providing expertise and support to in office and remote employees to ensure that their hardware and software is working in a manner that allows them to complete their daily tasks. This involves installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and application problems, either over the phone or in person.
Responsibilities:
  • Managing the Windows 2022 Server Active Directory (AD) network environment
  • Maintaining Windows 10 & 11 computer systems
  • Staging and maintaining new computers with Office 365 software suites and other software applications
  • Managing and Assigning Company phones and iPads to employees (managing Verizon account with over 200 devices)
  • Act as liaison between company and Managed Service Provider
  • Maintaining wireless network with multiple Wireless Access Points
  • Knowledge of webmail system (account administrator access level)
  • Maintain network multi-function printers, switches, routers
  • Maintain the user database of the VOIP telephone system
  • Programming new call flow logic into the call center VOIP system
  • Maintain the user database for the security alarm system
  • Assist in training new hires in the use of various systems: telephony, email, messaging
  • Occasionally assist in handling bulky boxes and assembling various types of office furniture
  • Provide on-site and remote resolutions of common hardware/software computing issues
  • Image and deploy newly acquired hardware to the appropriate department
  • Act as point of contact for other department’s technical requests
  • Provide training to users on new hardware and software when required
  • Troubleshoot apple-based tablets and mobile devices
  • Monitor hardware and software asset management
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation and improvement of existing support processes and policies
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be solution driven and be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks concurrently, oversee others in the department as well as being able to assist non-technical end users. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Qualifications:
  • Must have a high level of understanding of Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite in addition to basic networking experience.
  • Must be familiar with VOIP and webmail systems.
  • Must be able to set up and stage new computers and connect them to the network.
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and offer valid solutions
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk role working with onsite and remote users for PC/ Mac, software and hardware is required
  • Experience with Apple devices: tablets & mobile devices
  • This position’s essential functions demand the performance of the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation:
    • Prolonged periods of working at a desk and on a computer
    • Reading information on a computer screen and inputting data into a computer system
