Job Description

NineStar Connect is searching for a highly skilled Network Field Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our network infrastructure. You'll leverage your technical expertise to directly manage network equipment, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide exceptional support to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Network Infrastructure Management: Directly configure, install, maintain, and upgrade a variety of network equipment, including DSLAM, GPON, MetaSwitch, SONET, and TDM systems.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: Perform on-site escalated testing and troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently.
• Customer Service Champion: Deliver exceptional Tier II Network support and Tier III telephone and email technical support to phone, broadband internet, and video customers.
• On-Site Collaboration: Assist Network Engineers with on-site projects, providing valuable technical support and expertise.
• Vendor Partnership: Collaborate directly with vendors and carriers to diagnose and resolve reported network problems, ensuring seamless communication and efficient solutions.
• Documentation Specialist: Assist with auditing and maintaining network and Central Office documentation, upholding accuracy and completeness.
• On-Call Availability: Provide out-of-hours on-call support for the voice and data networks, ensuring continuous network uptime.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent certifications (e.g., A , Network )
• 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, telecommunications, or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise in Linux Operating Systems and a deep understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of the telecommunications industry, including digital switching technology and Central Office equipment.
• Proven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to build rapport and effectively explain technical concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.
