Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a General Manager at Jetstream Ground Services in Rochester, NY. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest quality of service, and maintaining safety standards. They will lead a team of employees, develop and implement strategies to improve punctuality and efficiency, and work closely with clients to meet their goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Airline Ramp Operation and/or experience in the aviation industry and ground handling services
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to an ever-changing industry
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Experience in customer service and client management
• Bachelor's degree in aviation management or related field and/or equivalent experience; 3-5 years of airline/aviation experience required
• Certifications in aviation safety and management are a plus

Additional Requirements:

• Possess a valid US driver’s license

• Must pass drug screen and a 10-year FAA background check (employment/criminal)

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment as well as outdoors in an airport ramp environment. The employee may become exposed to the elements including but not limited to heat, rain, and snow.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
