The Senior Product Owner is a member of a cross-functional agile development team, responsible for defining business requirements and prioritizing a project backlog. Their essential responsibility is to understand the business problem and ensure the solution being built meets the business needs
What you will do:
· Facilitate the definition of project scope for projects that are loosely defined
· Communicate and work with cross-functional development and business teams in an Agile development environment
· Provide vision and direction to agile development team and stakeholders
· Create and own a prioritized project backlog
· Gather and document business requirements; ensure acceptance criteria is understood
· Collaborate with team leadership on release planning
· Collaborate with cross-functional commercialization team to ensure internal readiness
· Oversee the review and prioritization aspects of production defect management
What you should bring:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, UX design, IT & Business Education, computer science or related area, or equivalent experience in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role
· 5-8 years related experience
· Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication
· Experience with agile development process; certified Agile Product Owner preferred
· Strong analytical, questioning and facilitation skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proven ability to build rapport, establish credibility and trust
