What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Owner position at ZYWAVE INC?
The Product Owner is a member of a cross-functional agile development team, responsible for defining business requirements and prioritizing a project backlog. Their essential responsibility is to understand the business problem and ensure the solution being built meets the business needs.
What you will do:
- Facilitate the definition of project scope for projects that are loosely defined
- Communicate and work with cross-functional development and business teams in an Agile development environment
- Provide vision and direction to agile development team and stakeholders
- Create and own a prioritized project backlog
- Gather and document business requirements; ensure acceptance criteria is understood
- Collaborate with team leadership on release planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional commercialization team to ensure internal readiness
- Oversee the review and prioritization aspects of production defect management
What you should bring:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, UX design, IT & Business Education, Computer Science or related area, or equivalent experience in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role
- 3-5 years related experience
- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication
- Experience with agile development process; certified Agile Product Owner preferred
- Strong analytical, questioning and facilitation skills
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to build rapport, establish credibility and trust
