Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Engineer role based in Chamblee, GA. The Project Engineer will oversee technical projects from concept through production, ensuring that customer requirements are translated into accurate designs, manufacturable solutions, and clear work instructions. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams on project planning and scheduling, reviewing engineering drawings and specifications, tracking project progress, and resolving technical issues to maintain quality and delivery commitments. The role includes collaborating with customers on requirements and changes, supporting process improvements on the shop floor, and documenting engineering decisions, risks, and outcomes. The Project Engineer will also assist with cost estimates, manufacturability assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills, including the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and understand manufacturing processes.
- Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills, including scheduling, resource coordination, risk management, and progress tracking across multiple concurrent projects.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams and customers, and the ability to document technical decisions and project status.
- Relevant qualifications include experience in CNC machining, aerospace or defense manufacturing, or other precision, regulated industries; familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 environments is beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical experience, proficiency with CAD and ERP/MRP systems, and a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement are preferred.
