Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate attorney with at least five years of substantive commercial litigation experience. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, an analytical thinker, and a confident advocate. They are comfortable managing cases from inception through trial or resolution.
Responsibilities:
· Handle all aspects of commercial litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation.
· Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other substantive filings
· Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners and clients
· Manage case files and client communications efficiently and proactively
· Supervise junior associates and paralegals as needed
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in Arizona
- Minimum 5 years of commercial litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting
- Strong litigation skills, including drafting, discovery, and courtroom experience
- Excellent writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with business torts, breach of contract, shareholder disputes, and/or financial services litigation
- Prior federal and/or state court clerkship (a plus but not required)
- Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures
