Job Description

• The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility. This role performs routine cleaning tasks, supports sanitation standards, and ensures work areas, restrooms, and common spaces are kept in excellent condition. The Janitor follows established procedures to uphold cleanliness, appearance, and health standards.
  
  
  

Key Accountabilities

• Sweep, damp mop, and wet mop floors; occasionally spray buff, strip, or wax floors per facility procedures.
• Operate floor scrubbers and other equipment.
• Vacuum carpeted areas and rugs.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
• Clean restroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets in accordance with sanitation standards.
• Clean mirrors, windows, and other glass surfaces.
• Clean behind and underneath furnishings and equipment.
• Follow infection-control and safety procedures while performing all cleaning tasks.
• Remove wax or dirt buildup from corners, baseboards, and doorways.
• Dust and damp-clean surfaces in offices, conference rooms, and lobby areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE.
  
  
  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning practices, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25–50 lbs as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
