What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cyber and Professional Liability Underwriting Product Specialist - Senior or AVP position at Zurich?
Zurich North America is currently searching for a Cyber/E&O Product Specialist, Senior or AVP in New York City. In this dynamic role you will use your expertise in Cyber, Errors & Omissions and Media Liability insurance products to help construct policies, draft manuscript endorsements, and provide coverage guidance to underwriters and create innovative solutions for customers. As a Cyber/Professional Liability Subject Matter Expert, you will collaborate with the Product Officers, Market Basket leaders and other key constituents to create new policy forms and endorsements for our Financial Lines Cyber and E&O products.
The Financial Lines Underwriting Product Specialist - Senior or AVP will be responsible for:
- Leading the development, drafting and implementation of new policy forms, coverage enhancements and manuscript endorsements
- Identifying market standard product opportunities based upon review of competitor forms and industry trends
- Collaborate with Underwriters in responding to coverage requests and draft language for specific transactions and portfolio coverage enhancements
- Works closely with distribution partners and/or risk managers to align on policy wording that addresses their unique exposure(s) in the policy
- Supporting underwriting strategy and product development by incorporating lessons learned from competitor forms and approaches to coverage in new products
- Participating in compliance-related queries, including state regulatory exams and state insurance department inquiries
- Collaborate with various functional areas across the organization, including underwriting, claims, actuarial, legal, marketing, and regulatory compliance in creating products.
This role will be filled at either the Senior or AVP Product Specialist level and will report to the Cyber and Professional Liability Segment Leader. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.
Basic Qualifications-Financial Lines Underwriting Product Specialist - Senior
- JD and 6 or more years of experience of law practice specializing in the insurance area
OR
Basic Qualifications-Financial Lines Underwriting Product Specialist - AVP
- JD and 7 or more years of experience of law practice specializing in the insurance area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Product Management experience including policy creation and drafting of manuscript endorsements
- Cyber and Professional Liability product experience
- Compliance and Regulatory expertise relating to product filings and state required policy provisions is a plus
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The combined salary range for this position is $102,250.00 - $254,500.00. The starting salary range for the Cyber and Professional Liability Underwriting Product Specialist - Senior position is: $102,250.00 - $167,375.00 and for the Cyber and Professional Liability Underwriting Product Specialist AVP position is: $155,500.00 - $254,500.00.
