Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
• Conduct routine janitorial duties such as trash removal, dusting, restroom sanitation, window cleaning, and surface disinfecting.
• Carry out detailed custodial tasks in various environments, including commercial buildings, industrial sites, and residential areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, pressure washers, and industrial cleaning tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, offices, restrooms, kitchens, and other designated spaces according to established standards.
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs, fixing minor repairs, and reporting larger issues to management.
• Support floor care activities including stripping, sealing, waxing floors, and applying protective coatings to extend flooring lifespan.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning procedures to ensure a hazard-free environment for staff and visitors.
• Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies inventory, and maintenance activities for accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping), sanitation standards, and general facilities maintenance.
• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, pressure washers, and other custodial tools safely.
• Experience with residential painting or industrial cleaning is a plus but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects safely, bend, kneel and perform manual tasks regularly.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Pay: $21.47 - $25.86 per hour
