(Part-Time) Carry-Out Service Team Member

SUMMARY

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Carry Out Service Team Member. In this role, you will play an important part in creating a positive shopping experience by assisting customers with their groceries and providing carry out service to their vehicles. Additional responsibilities include bagging groceries with care, retrieving shopping carts, maintaining cleanliness throughout the store and parking areas, and supporting front-end operations as needed. The ideal candidate enjoys helping others, works well in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized environment, and brings a positive attitude to every shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Give every customer immediate and undivided attention
 Provide friendly and helpful customer service at all times
 Assist customers with carry out service to their vehicles
 Properly bag groceries while ensuring product care and safe handling
 Retrieve shopping carts from parking areas and surrounding property
 Maintain cleanliness throughout the front end, entryways, restrooms, and parking lot areas
 Assist cashiers and front-end staff as needed
 Follow through on all customer questions and requests
 Keep department supplies filled and maintained
 Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
 Practice safe use of all tools and equipment required by position
 Be aware of store products and department locations to better assist customers
 Help maintain accurate retail pricing and signage as directed
 Support stocking, facing, and product rotation when needed
 Follow all company safety and sanitation procedures
 Maintain a positive and professional attitude with customers and teammates alike

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Must be passionate about people and customer service
 Must be dependable with regular and reliable attendance
 Must be self-motivated and solution-oriented
 Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
 Strong communication and teamwork skills required
 Be willing to work a flexible work schedule based on store operating hours and business needs
 Previous grocery or customer service experience is helpful but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 Stand and walk for long periods of time
 Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
 Push and pull shopping carts
 Frequently carry groceries and assist customers to their vehicles
 Bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing
 Repetitive use of hands with power grasping and fine manipulation
 Work both indoors and outdoors throughout shifts
 Interact with a diverse group of individuals

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 Exposure to temperature variations and changing weather conditions
 May walk and work on uneven or slick surfaces
 Requires reaching above and below shoulder height
 Frequent walking throughout the store and parking lot
 Some exposure to dust, gas, fumes, and cleaning chemicals
 May need to use a ladder or stool to reach product or supplies
 Repetitive stretching, lifting, and pushing required
