We’re looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team! If you're a detail-oriented number cruncher with a passion for tax strategy and compliance, this might be your next big move.
The primary responsibility for the Senior Tax Accountant is to provide support to the Director of Tax in all Company global tax matters including, but not limited to: tax research, tax planning, tax compliance, tax accounting and tax audit matters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist outsource providers in the preparation and filing of federal, state, local, and foreign income tax returns, estimates and extensions.
- Assist with quarterly/annual federal and state tax payment processing.
- Assist with monthly Sales, Use, and Value Added Tax filings and payments.
- Use Avalara software for monthly sales tax reporting.
- Prepare monthly tax related journal entries.
- Maintain general ledger tax accounts and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Integrate tax information reporting between tax systems and general ledger systems to automate tax reporting information
- Assist with federal, state, and foreign tax audits including responses to information document requests received from the taxing authorities, as assigned.
- Respond to federal and state tax notices and correspondence.
- Maintain and update tax calendar.
- Conducts tax research and planning assignments
- Collaborate with other business departments to effectively understand accounts which are tax sensitive and determine related tax treatment.
- Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of corporate and/or public accounting tax experience with a Big 4 or regional CPA firm, and/or a large multinational company including tax return preparation experience.
- Strong tax research, analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills.
- Strong PC skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and on-line research tools, etc.
- Previous experience with NetSuite or other ERP system preferred.
- Previous experience with AvaTax for sales tax compliance.
