Server - Open Call - Zuma San Diego

Join Zuma San Diego as our Server. Zuma San Diego is opening soon, bringing our world-renowned contemporary Japanese dining experience to the heart of the West Coast. We’re now hiring passionate, energetic professionals to join our opening team.                                             

Our Ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for delivering professional and attentive service, taking orders accurately, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. With your passion for hospitality and attention to detail, you will contribute to the overall success and reputation of Zuma as a premier dining destination.

The compensation is $17.75 per hour plus tips.

Tuesday, April 14th| 10am–6pm (PST)

Wednesday, April 15th| 10am–6pm (PST)

• Interview slots available throughout the day (10am–6pm)

• Walk-ins are welcome, but priority is given to confirmed attendees, so to avoid any delays, please confirm a time slot where possible

Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen
• Serve food and drinks promptly and courteously, presenting dishes in an appealing and visually pleasing manner
• Anticipate guests' needs and preferences, making recommendations and offering assistance with menu selections as needed
• Monitor tableware, glassware, and utensils to ensure cleanliness and replace items as necessary
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions about the menu, providing information about ingredients and preparation methods, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages and maintain smooth communication between FOH and Kitchen teams

• Previous experience as a Server in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or hospitality establishment preferred
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
