As a payroll service bureau, we provide comprehensive payroll solutions to our clients, including benefit configuration, ACA compliance, and deferred compensation services. The Enhanced Services Specialist plays a key role in delivering these offerings by ensuring accurate setup, administration, and ongoing support for client benefit programs and retirement plans.This position is responsible for managing client onboarding and benefits configuration, which includes collecting documentation, completing setup surveys, and configuring systems to meet client specifications. The specialist oversees enrollment and renewal processes for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and ancillary plans. In addition, the role supports Affordable Care Act compliance by tracking eligibility, preparing reports, generating 1094/1095 forms, and monitoring deadlines for testing and reporting. The specialist also coordinates Open Enrollment activities, updates plan details, prepares employee communications, and provides enrollment assistance. Maintaining accurate benefit data across systems and responding promptly to client inquiries are essential to delivering exceptional service. Collaboration with internal teams ensures that benefit processes align with payroll operations and are executed efficiently.The role also includes managing deferred compensation services offered to clients. This involves designing and facilitating 401(k) and other retirement plan setups, serving as the liaison between clients and providers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The specialist prepares and sends test files for new plan integrations, validates contribution amounts, and monitors data transmissions to prevent errors. Communication with providers during testing and confirmation of activation is critical, as is troubleshooting integration issues to maintain accuracy and reliability.Skills and Qualifications: Candidates should have a foundational understanding of employee benefits and ACA guidelines, as well as working knowledge of deferred compensation plans such as 401(k), 457(b), and 409A. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Familiarity with compliance tracking, recordkeeping, and audit preparation is required. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment is key.
