Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Laborer role located in Savannah, GA. The Laborer will support field operations related to waterway clearing, shoreline stabilization, and dredging by performing physical tasks such as loading and unloading materials, operating basic tools and equipment under supervision, and assisting with site preparation and clean-up. Responsibilities include working on or near waterways, installing erosion control and shoreline protection systems, handling debris and vegetation removal, and following safety protocols and environmental guidelines at all times. The Laborer will collaborate with crew members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently, maintain equipment and work areas, and adapt to varying weather and site conditions.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Basic proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and equipment commonly used in construction, landscaping, or marine operations.
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, safe work practices, environmental regulations, and site-specific safety procedures.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability, with the ability to follow instructions and work effectively with diverse crews.
- Comfort working around water, wetlands, and marine environments; prior experience in construction, marine, or environmental field work is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; eligibility to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but relevant experience in labor, construction, or environmental services may substitute.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in the region and work flexible hours as project needs require.
