Essential Functions, Duties And Responsibilities
- Research potential grant opportunities
- Write project-specific and general support grant proposals and applications; letters of inquiry; progress reports and other correspondence to prospective and renewing foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Comply with grantor reporting requirements, including private, public and corporate foundations
- Gather and prepare all materials to accompany grant requests (financial data, narratives, required forms, etc.)
- Prepare weekly status reports of funding requests
- Conduct proposal stewardship
- Produce acknowledgment and thank you letters
- Track submitted proposals (i.e., confirm receipt of mailings and online applications)
- Ensure grant compliance through the timely submission of interim and final reports
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to produce writing that concisely conveys a wide variety of data
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, and web applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects/deadlines
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Bachelor’s degree required
- A minimum of three years of Grant writing experience is preferred
- Knowledge of the health care system and issues is desired
- Compensation commensurate with experience
