Job Summary:

Under the general direction of and reporting to the Store Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for greeting all customers, selling company products at the counter and by telephone, and may assist potential new product uses or applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist contractors and customers on a walk-in basis
2. Answer incoming customer telephone calls
3. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with contractors and customers by ensuring the best possible customer satisfaction by providing expertise in products and services
4. Process takeoffs and quoting for projects; windows, doors, decks, garages, roofs, remodels of homes and basements
5. Write up service requests and start process, take call backs on service requests and process paperwork for returns
6. Act as back-up to outside loaders
7. Provide inside support to the outside sales representatives as needed
8. Monitor tool department/sales and service, mix paint, and stock product on shelves
9. Maintain literature and stock what is necessary to support the sales
10. Resolve delivery challenges
11. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, self-motivated, sense of pride and urgency, personable, well organized

Requirements

1. Requires High School Diploma and 3-5 years of lumberyard experience or 2-4 year degree related to business or construction industry.
2. Mathematical skills required to add, subtract, multiply, divide, measurements of square foot and cubic foot
3. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, climb and reach
4. Vast product knowledge of building materials and practices
5. Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees and customers
