In this role, you’ll balance real-time dispatch responsibilities with top-tier customer service, serving as a critical connection between drivers, customers, and the operations team to ensure a smooth and reliable transportation experience.
What You’ll Do As a Fleet Dispatcher
- Dispatch and route drivers based on demand, schedules, and availability
- Monitor live trips and proactively resolve service, routing, or customer issues
- Communicate route changes, trip updates, and operational instructions to drivers
- Assist customers by answering calls, addressing concerns, and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, trip records, and customer interactions
- Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure service quality and efficiency
- Previous experience in dispatching, customer service, logistics, or fleet operations (preferred)
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with dispatch, scheduling, or fleet management software (a plus)
- Valid driver’s license
