Routing Dispatcher – Help Shape the Future of Transportation!
Pittsburgh Transportation Group is urgently seeking a full-time Routing Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. In this key role, you’ll oversee daily fleet and driver operations, manage charter and shuttle routing, coordinate vehicle assignments, and support maintenance planning to ensure smooth, efficient service.

Two shift options available:
- Sunday – Thursday: 11:00am to 7:00pm
- Monday – Friday: 3:30am to 11:30am
Key Responsibilities of a Routing Dispatcher
- Operational Oversight: Monitor and support daily shuttle and charter operations to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant service.
- Dispatch Management: Route and dispatch scheduled services in alignment with company policies, contract requirements, and labor agreements.
- Scheduling Support: Assist with weekly scheduling and make adjustments to optimize driver and fleet utilization.
- Driver Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers—providing guidance, addressing concerns, and maintaining clear communication.
- Data & Reporting: Collect and manage route data, performance metrics, and payroll information; prepare daily operational reports.
- Fleet Coordination: Assign vehicles strategically and collaborate with maintenance teams to plan service intervals, inspections, and repairs.
- Customer Relations: Communicate professionally with customers regarding schedules, pricing, reservations, and service inquiries.
- Reservation Management: Accurately process new reservations, updates, and cancellations to support effective routing and scheduling.
- Safety & Compliance: Partner with the Safety & Training team to uphold all policies, regulations, and safety standards.
- Issue Resolution: Respond promptly and professionally to customer feedback, including complaints and commendations.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in dispatching, routing, fleet coordination, or transportation operations preferred
- Skills: Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and attention to detail
